Academy for Sustainable Communities: Community Partnerships

永續社區學院「社區協作」課程

The “Community Partnerships” course of the Academy for Sustainable Communities has invited two seasoned community project practitioners as teachers. Mr. Tse Chun Man (Ah Man) has been engaged in Wan Chai community work for 25 years at St. James’ Settlement, where he currently serves as the underprivileged services supervisor for community development. He has long been promoting community oriented mutual economy and operating the social enterprise “GroundWorks”.

永續社區學院「社區協作」課程邀請到兩位社區工作經驗豐富的導師任教，其中，謝振民先生（阿民）於聖雅各福群會從事灣仔社區工作已有25年，現時是社區發展服務基層服務主管。他長期推動社區經濟互助計劃，並營運「土作坊」社企。

GroundWorks, established by St. James’ Settlement in 2007 as a social enterprise, is an example of community partnerships. Based on the concept of urban-rural collaboration, it collaborates with farmers and fair trade businesses, and engages community members to produce organic handmade food products. Emphasising participatory management, GroundWorks encourages community involvement in its operations. In response to community needs, GroundWorks now primarily promotes sustainable community education, leveraging its accumulated experience to promote traditional folk crafts and foster a sense of community cultural awareness among the public.

土作坊正是社區協作的例子。它是聖雅各福群會於2007年成立的社會企業，以城鄉協作為理念，與農夫和公平貿易商合作，同時召集街坊發揮手藝，利用本地食材製作有機手工食品。土作坊強調參與式管理，讓街坊共同參與店鋪的營運。現時土作坊主要推動可持續社區教育，善用多年累積的經驗，傳承民間傳統手藝，培養大眾的社區文化情懷。

Ah Man is keen on promoting community education with multidisciplinary perspectives in an interesting way. In one of the field trips of the “Community Partnerships” course, Ah man will lead the students to visit “Blue House” and its neighbourhood in Wan Chai to learn about grassroots participation in community development and practise some easy-to-grasp observation skills to understand the community.

阿民熱衷以較輕鬆有趣的多學科視角推廣社區教育。在「社區協作」課程的考察課，阿民將與學員走訪灣仔「藍屋」及附近社區，了解基層街坊如何參與社區營造，並練習運用易於掌握的觀察技巧來認識社區。
