In fond memory of Dr Ng Cho-nam (1960-2019)

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved HKGA member, Dr Ng Cho-nam.

Dr Ng was an Associate Professor of Department of Geography, The University of Hong Kong. He had served the Hong Kong Geographical Association (HKGA) as an Executive Council member for more than ten years.  Dr Ng was a dedicated and passionate geographer who had made invaluable contributions to bridge secondary and tertiary geography education.  As an expert in environmental protection and nature conservation, Dr Ng provided wholehearted support to geography teachers through organizing seminars, workshops and field trips. In his recent project “Water Initiative on Sustainability and Engagement”, he delivered numerous school talks and organized field trips for students to promote sustainability in the use of water resources. Having served on various government advisory committees, Dr Ng was devoted to contribute his professional knowledge to serve the community and promote sustainable development in Hong Kong. We are indebted to the efforts, advices, supports and contributions that Dr Ng had made to the HKGA over the years. Dr Ng will be dearly missed by all HKGA members.
