Open to all full-time undergraduate or graduate students.

Submission

An ArcGIS StoryMap embedded with a 2-minute video clip

(Note: No face-to-face presentation is required).

Free Resources

All enrolled participants will receive free ArcGIS licenses and dedicated e-learning resources.

Prizes

Opportunities include a free trip to attend the Esri User Conference in the United States and potential Internship opportunities at Esri China (HK).

Briefing and Hands-On Training

January 12, 2026, 2:00 -5:30 pm

Introduction to the YSA competition background and requirements. Includes tips from past winners and an overview of available Esri Solutions and apps (e.g., ArcGIS Online, Spatial Analysis, 3D Scene).

After introduction, there is a practical training on essential ArcGIS skills for submission. Focuses on how to find, collect, and analyze geospatial data, and share findings using ArcGIS StoryMaps.
